Rawamangun CC, the second team comprising fully of Indonesian players, got their season off to a winning start courtesy another thrilling, last ball win. The Rawamangun opening bowlers Agi Saptiazi & Juni Ariyadi were on target from the get-go as they knocked out the Ceylon openers cheaply. Baba Sivasankaran then rebuilt the Ceylon innings in partnership with Isaac Thambi. Few more contributions from Shuhab Hussain & Shubham Patni got Ceylon to a par score of 144 in their 20 overs.

Rohan Shirodkar continued to be the platform around which the Rawamangun batting revolves as he once again put on a good opening partnership and consolidated in the company of the experienced, Yeri Rosongna. Rohan’s fall in the 15thover set the cat among the pigeons and 27 runs were needed off the last two overs. Yeri called on his vast experience to accelerate at the right moment, collecting 16 of the 19thover. 11 to get in the final over and Yeri was off strike, but Andrew Sandi struck a boundary of the first ball. A few more singles followed and a crucial dot ball which meant a boundary was needed of the last ball, when Yeri duly obliged and RCC were home in a nail-biter.
