Jakarta Barbarians managed to pull off a win in a low scoring encounter against WPP India XI in their 35 overs game on Saturday. Only Ben Burgess & Vivek Nair could reach double figures as Ajay Kurtkoti & Gaurang Kapadia bowled well. In the end, Vivek Nair’s 38 would prove crucial as that ensured his team got something to bowl at and defend.
WPP India XI would have definitely fancied their chances of chasing down 88 for a win, but they had to contend with the strong & consistent Jakarta Barbarians bowling attack. The wickets were split between Mohibullah Hussaini, Vivek Nair & V.Singh as WPP India XI were bowled out for just 55 runs in 21 overs.
