Rawamangun CC, the second all-Indonesian team of the league had enjoyed a great season thus far with only 1 loss in their 7 games. They were looking to extend this winning streak against a born-again Rebels CC side who were showing good progress this season.

It was a battle of two strong bowling sides and Rawamangun CC’s (RCC) restrictive bowling meant that Rebels CC couldn’t find enough momentum despite getting off to a solid start losing only 1 wicket in the first 10 overs. Vivek Elankannan, who has been Rebels’ batting backbone, perished trying to accelerate after a solid 31. Some big hits by Sujeet Ramgir & Anwesh Bose helped Rebels finish at a below par score of 106 in their 20 overs. All the RCC bowlers enjoyed a good outing bowling very good lines.

Sujeet Ramgir got the Rebels off to a get start with two wickets in the first over, including that of the dangerous Yeri Rosongna. Repan Desnika batted very well to get RCC back on track until Gaurav Tandon, who bowled well, got him out holing to Mid-off. Vivek Elankannan struck twice to have RCC at 62 for 8, but Andrew Sandi put on a great fight through some frantic running and 10 runs were needed off the last over. Vivek bowled a brilliant last over to give the Rebels a 6 run win.
