Saturday was not a great day to be chasing totals as Ceria Komodos too made heavy work of a low target against TKCC Royals. Some wayward bowling coupled with some good strokeplay helped the Royals get off to a breezy start with 73 runs coming off the first 10 overs. Vishal Hirgude struck with 3 quick wickets on resumption & Eki Antaria tightened the screws from the other end and the Royals could only manage 54 runs in the last 10 overs.

Despite losing two early wickets, Eki Antaria & Vivek Nair got the Komodos back into the game with a 45 runs stand. The game was clearly in Komodos’ grasp with 68 runs needed in 10 overs and eight wickets in hand. Maneesh Tripathi claimed two crucial wickets and Vishal Garg triggered a collapse as 4 wickets fell for just 18 runs. Panic set in and 3 run-outs later, Ceria Komodos were all-out for just 108 runs.
