Indorama CC began their season with a comfortable win over Menara CC in the final game of the weekend. Menara chose to bat first and lost Sanjay Ahuja early to PC Sethi, but Deepak Khullar played anchor while Usman Muhammad exploded at the other end. The wily Vishwajit Tripathi got rid of the dangerous Usman, and Srikkanth struck twice to bring Indorama back in the game. Muhammad Mubeen’s 34 runs ensured Menara had a fighting total as they finished at 142 in their 20 overs.

The Indorama openers Vinod Verghese & Shailesh Tulaskar got their team off to a solid start and at 85 runs in 11 overs, they seemed to be cruising towards the target. Sahayanathan got two quick wickets and soon, things were looking tough for Indorama with them needing almost 10 runs an over. The experience of Srikkanth then came forth as he hit four 6s and in the company of Abhishek Sharma overhauled the target with an over to spare.
