The rain kept away long enough to allow for 4 games to be completed this weekend in the GMIS JCA league. WISCI won both their games to reclaim the top spot in Division 1, while Menara bounced back with a win to reclaim Division 2 leadership. Yadavas Chairos Tigers extended their winning streak with a comfortable win over Jakarta Barbarians.

WISCI took on Texmoda TKCC Royals in a 35 overs game on Saturday and were off to a poor start after TKCC put them in to bat. Adam Jones, then put together a good partnership with the prolific Vinayak Sasitharan to get his team back on track. Gaurav Pathak then struck some crucial blows and wickets from Mukesh Khetan & Swaroop Chavan got TKCC right back into the game with WISCI looking short at 166 for 8. The young Indonesian duo of Danilson & Desandri batted well to take WISCI to 198.

The TKCC batting in reply couldn’t stitch together enough partnerships as they kept losing wickets at regular intervals. Desandri, who had a horror start conceding 10 wides, fought back well to claim the wickets of the key TKCC batsmen. Avakash Lohia, who surprisingly came in quite late in the batting order, tried to resurrect the innings with a good knock, but found no support and TKCC ended up 64 runs short.
