Current champions & Tigers’ biggest competition for this year’s title, WISCI Wanderers took on WPP India XI in a T20 game at the GMIS grounds. WPP India XI chose to bowl first and were soon up against a rampaging Naresh Gupta as he peppered the metal fences at the boundary repeatedly. A dipping full-toss from Govind Sodani accounted for him, but Vinayak Sasitharan took over from Naresh and he put on a 123 runs unbeaten stand with the solid Adam Jones to take WISCI to a commanding score of 181 for 2 in twenty overs.
Deepak Singh, soon had WPP India XI in trouble at 6 for 2 but Govind Sodani fought back against his former team with a few big hits until Desandri got him out. Dwaraknath Naidu tried to build some fight, but he too fell, this time to Suhail Modak. Eventually, WPP India XI were bowled out for 113, giving WISCI a 68 runs win.
