This weekend saw two games being played by teams in Division 2 in the GMIS JCA league and Challengers CC & Ceylon CC recorded comfortable wins in these games.
Challengers CC won the toss and decided to put Emerio CC in to bat in the T20 encounter. Vivek Shetty & Shahbaz Muhammad got Emerio off to a solid start with a 58 run opening stand. The introduction of Vimal Nair and the fall of a few wickets led to a change in momentum. Palwinder Singh struck a few late blows and took his side to 158 in their 20 overs.
Challengers started their reply all guns blazing as Ranjan Shankar & Santosh Kumar sped things along. Emerio fought back with a couple of wickets but Vimal Nair continued his fine form to hit a rapidfire unbeaten 64 and take his team home with 7 wickets in hand.
