Challengers CC took on Indorama CC in the first of the two T20 games on Sunday and were soon in deep trouble having lost both their openers without a run on the board. Indorama skipper PC Sethi bowled superbly going for just 6 runs in his 4 overs. The experienced Satinder Minhas, helped stage a strong recovery for Challengers through partnerships with Vimal Nair & Srini Govindraj. Abhishek Sharma however, bowled well to restrict Challengers to just 110 in their 20 overs.
Indorama CC were looking comfortable in their chase at 71 for 3 after 14 overs and the experienced presence of Vishwajit Tripathi & Nitin Joshi at the crease. Krishna Menon’s 15thover, however, proved to be a game changer as he dismissed both these batsmen. Satheesh Kumar, then made it even worse for Indorama with two wickets in the 17thover. Eventually, Indorama fell short by 9 runs as their batsmen couldn’t force the pace in the last 2 overs.
