Senayan India XI won the toss and elected to bat first in their T20 game played at Cibubur cricket ground on 12th December as part of the R.P. Singh memorial cup. Their openers Santosh Kumar & Gema Fajar were off to a rollicking start as they raced to 59/0 after 6 overs. The introduction of spin in the form of Prashant Singh helped RB United get some control back. Syed Kabir who had come in at the fall of Gema Fajar, decided to step on the accelerator as 21 runs came off the 15th over and Sampath Kumar too then dipped into the fun as Senayan India XI notched up a huge 180 for 5 in their 20 overs. Azhar Ali with 2 for 30 in his 4 overs was RB United’s most successful bowler
Given their recent form, chasing 181 to win would have been difficult for RB United. Azhar Ali batted well for his 45 and David Surjit & Amar Kapadia shared two wickets apiece as RB United could eventually only manage 116 for 7 in their 20 overs
