WISCI continued their dominance in the Texmoda JCA league by comfortably winning the Division 1 trophy. Led by their talismanic captain William Noronha, whose legend grows with every season, WISCI has always had the unique knack of fighting back from tough situations and the depth of talent they have in their side ensures that they dont need to rely on just 1-2 key players.
WISCI finished off their season with a comfortable win over Emerio CC at the Karawaci ground. Emerio CC needed to win this game to avoid relegation and when they dismissed the WISCI openers early, they would have felt a ray of hope. Suhail Modak & Vinayak Sasitharan came together in a 75 runs partnership and Naresh Gupta provided some middle-order acceleration, but Emerio would have been pleased to bowl out WISCI for 184 runs.
The WISCI opening bowlers David Holme & Deepak Singh were in no mood to relent as they ripped out the Emerio top order and had them struggling at 37 for 6. The lower order flailed a bit but could only manage 103 runs.
