This weekend saw two extremely low scoring games and a very tight finish in the third game in the Texmoda JCA league.
Rawamangun CC’s young Indonesian boys looked keen and eager as they took on Rebels CC in the only 35 overs encounter of this week. Having chosen to bat after winning the toss, the Rebels batsmen waded into some fiery pace bowling by the RCC opening bowlers, Agi Saptiazi & Juni Ariyadi. What followed was a steady Rebels batting procession back to the pavilion and their lowest ever total loomed large as they were down to 44 for 8. A 20 run partnership between Irfan Raza & Galvin Marne ensured Rebels got to 75.
The Rebels bowlers made the RCC batsmen toil hard as Marten Eddy & Alfhariz took out the openers early and made run-scoring difficult. Riski Sanjaya & the newly married Repan Desnika put on a fighting partnership to guide RCC to a comfortable position. Debutant Sean Nugget bowled well and took 3 wickets to create a mild flutter but 75 runs was always going to be difficult to defend.
