Syed Kabir plays a skipper’s knock to control the chase beautifully and take his team home in a comfortable win over Rawamangun Indorama CC. Confident from their win on Saturday, Rawamangun Indorama CC, chose to bat first again in the second game of the weekend played at Cibubur Cricket ground this Sunday.
Eki Antaria once again got his team off to a solid start, this time in the company of a new opening partner, Rohan Shirodkar as they reached 41 at the end of the power-play. But, David Surjit & Dhiraj Nagpal struck right after the power play to dismiss both the openers and offer Senayan India XI an opportunity to get back into the game. Muhammad Aziz anchored the rebuild for RICC but his partners were not able to force the pace especially against some very tight bowling by Sampath Kumar. Eventually, Rawamangun Indorama CC could only manage 129 in their 20 overs despite having 6 more wickets in hand.
Desandri accounted for the dangerous Amar Kapadia early and the other opening bowlers also bowled tight lines to keep Senayan India XI batsmen reasonably quiet early on. But they could afford to play out some quiet overs as the asking rate was not much and Parag Haldankar & skipper Syed Kabir did exactly that rebuilding till the end of the 12th over hone they reached 63 for 2. The accelerator was then pushed in the 13th over which went for 14 runs and despite losing a few wickets in their rush to finish early, Senayan India XI got home in the last over with 4 wickets in hands.
