The new year started off with a bang in the GMIS JCA league with 5 games being played out over a wet weekend.

Sujeet Ramgir’s brilliant five-wicket haul was the highlight of Rebels fighting win. JCA veteran Cameron Knox rolled back the years with some spanking cut-shots to get Rebels off to a good start. After drinks, Kartik Kapoor struck with 2 crucial wickets and fatigue got the better of Cameron sparking a familiar Rebels middle order collapse as Iruthayaraj continued his fine form with the ball. A 20 run stand for the last wicket between Suresh & Alfhariz restored some momentum for Rebels, but a score of 126 looked well below par.

Sujeet Ramgir was all charged up as he got rid of both the openers and had the dangerous Usman Muhammad out fending a steep-climber to a brilliant catch by Cameron. Kartik Kapoor stitched together a fight-back with help from Mubeen, but Owais  & Gaurav Tandon combined well to account them and Sujeet’s second spell where he was once again on a hat-trick, sealed the game for Rebels.
