WISCI took on Metro Indians in a T20 game on Sunday and were once again not off to a good start, this time after choosing to bat first. Kiran Mandhare accounted for the openers and Kirubasankar got rid of the dangerous Vinayak Sasitharan. Add to it some disastrous running between the wickets and 3 run outs later WISCI were in all sorts of trouble at 66 for 6. The famed WISCI resilience then kicked in as Suhail Modak & William put on an unbeaten 60 runs stand to give the WISCI bowlers something to bowl at.
The Metro Indians openers showed promise in a decent start, but Prabhu fell to Desandri. A lot of hopes rested on a good knock by Kirubasankar, but his lean form continued as he was once again trapped in front. At the half-way stage, Metro was still in the game but the introduction of spin in the form Aman Singh, sounded their death knell and they eventually fell short by 18 runs.
