Srinivasan Govindharaj played a superb knock to give his side, Challengers CC, a hard-fought win over Rawamangun CC. Muhammad Aziz & Rohan Shirodkar got RCC off to a steady, though slow start with a 40 run opening stand. Manickavasagan & Sunil Samtani then struck back with quick wickets to have RCC struggling at 59 for 5 and in danger of being bowled out cheaply. Andrew Sandi, batted well to ensure RCC reach 116 in their 20 overs.

Sunil Samtani & Gowtham Rajaram started well for Challengers and they seemed to be coasting till the wily Yeri Rosongna struck to have the Challengers in some trouble at 59 for 4. Srinivasan Govindharaj, once again, came to his side’s rescue with some belligerent stroke-play. He hit six 6s to ensure Challengers won with 3 wickets in hand. This win also took Challengers to leadership position in Division 2, the first time they have done so in this season.
