Texmoda TKCC Royals prevailed over a struggling Senayan CC in another low-scoring 35 overs game on Sunday. TKCC were in early trouble at 15 for 2 after choosing to bat first but good knocks by Rajesh Santhanam & Gorav Pathak pulled things back for them. Just when TKCC looked set for a big score, good bowling by Ashit Mehta & Maneesh Dubey got Senayan CC right back into the game with TKCC being bowled out for just 132.
Senayan CC would have fancied their chances of chasing down 133 despite their recent weak form with the bat. But this was not to be that day as their batting couldn’t get going once again and they kept losing wickets regularly. TKCC skipper Gorav Pathak was the destroyer-in-chief with 4 wickets and he got good support from Swaroop Chavan & Mukesh Khetan. Wides were the top contributor to Senayan CC’s score as they could only manage 112 in the end, falling short by 20 runs.
