Ceylon CC faced off against Menara CC in a top of the table clash at Cibubur on Sunday. Despite a weak start, Mehdi Raza Baig pulled things back for Menara with a solid knock. Sanjeewa Senanayake got rid of Mehdi to create a small wobble, but Usman Muhammad & Iruthayaraj strung together a good partnership to take Menara to a decent score of 182 in their 35 overs. Rajeev Kumar was Ceylon’s most successful bowler of the day.
The Ceylon chase never looked solid as they kept losing wickets in lumps and despite a patient knock by Gaurav Kapoor and same late order resilience by Hashmat Hussaini, they could only manage 113 in their reply. Iruthayaraj & Raja Zahid Hameed were Menara’s most successful bowlers.
