Jakarta Barbarians won the toss and invited Texmoda TKCC to bat first. The TKCC openers Subhash Modgil & Gorav Pathak gleefully accepted the invitation and got their team off to a roaring start. Lindsay Wood struck with two quick blows, but Rajesh Santhanam, kept things moving along for TKCC as they raced to 174 in their 20 overs.
In reply, Jakarta Barbarians were off to a horrendous start as they lost 3 of their top order batsmen for ducks and were soon reduced to 8 for 3 thanks to some superb bowling by both Swaroop Chavan & Mukesh Khetan. Ben Burgess, was holding firm at the other end and he got good support from Tim Gutsell as they rebuilt the Barbarians innings through a 60 runs partnership. However, acceleration was called for as the asking rate had climbed to almost 16 runs an over. Sandeep Koyanna benefited from the Barbarians need to accelerate as he claimed 4 wickets and eventually, Barbarians could only manage 92 in their 20 overs.
