Things are starting to get more competitive as the Indonesian Cricket League enters its third weekend. K2 Kings, Jaguar CC, Ceria Komodos registered wins while Jakarta Knightriders continued their domineering start with yet another big win.
The Knightriders took on Chaiba Senayan Lions in the first encounter of the weekend and were quickly into the groove after being put in to bat. Pallav Malhotra continued his dream-form as he cleared the fence at will and with Gema Fajar playing ideal foil to him, the Knightriders were rocketing along. Pallav fell 15 runs short of a much-deserved ton, but Vivek Nair kept the momentum going against a listless Lions bowling attack as Knightriders ended on a huge score of 229 runs.
Something special was needed if the Lions had to chase this down, but it was the turn of the Knightriders bowlers to shine as Vivek Nair & Desandri Candil Saputra were brilliant in their opening spells. Viraj Bhammar sparked a mini-revival through a 74 run partnership with Saurabh Sudhir but too much was needed and wickets fell in the quest of quick runs and Chaiba Senayan Lions could only muster 143 runs in their 20 overs.
