SCORECARD

The match between TKC Mavs & Rawamangun Indorama CC was crucial in the fight for a position in the playoffs of the R.P. Singh memorial cup.

TKC Mavs won the toss and elected to bat first in the game played on 23rd January at the Cibubur cricket ground. Padmakar Surve opened the batting along with Nimesh Shah and the measured start of 72 for 2 after 10 overs gave no indication of the carnage that was to follow. Paddy once again provided a great example of pacing the innings with each over seeing a boundary followed by lot of hard running as he lulled the opposition into thinking that they were still in the game while raising his 50 off just 28 balls.

Paddy reached 72 of 46 balls building a platform that was needed and like he has done in earlier games also, exploded from the 15th over onwards. 22 runs came off that over as he got to his second ton of the season off just 53 balls. The next 19 balls went for 58 runs as he became the highest scorer in JCA T20 history surpassing Kirubasankar’s 141 not out in 2019. Eventually, TKC Mavs finished on 200 for 4 in their 20 overs with one player contributing close to 80% of their runs. Rizky Dwi Nugraha was the pick of the Rawamangun bowlers conceding only 18 runs in his 4 overs.

Rawamangun Indorama CC started their chase in blistering fashion as Anugrah Uga & Miko got their team to 46 in the first 4 overs. Uga was unfortunately run-out and this got TKC Mavs back into the game with RICC at 77 for 3 at the half-way stage. Repen Desnika & Yeri Rosogna kept the fight going but 200 proved too much at the end as RICC could only reach 171 for 7 in their 20 overs.
