Padmakar Surve stood tall in a brilliant all-round performance as Mavecrics staved off a fighting Emerio CC to win by 12 runs in their T20 game. Vineet Kumar had scythed through the Mavecrics top order to reduce them to 49 for 3 in 11 overs, but Padmakar’s arrival to crease sparked off a brilliant revival. 15 boundaries that included 6 sixes, followed as Paddy reached 104 not out off just 55 balls as he lifted Mavecrics to a competitive 144 in their 20 overs.
Shahbaz Muhammad took great inspiration from Paddy’s knock and he was speeding towards his own ton when Mitesh Dingra accounted for him and turned the game in Mavecrics favor. The rest of the Mavecrics bowlers then chipped in to restrict Emerio for 133 in their 20 overs.
