The GMIS JCA league had only game this weekend and Padmakar Surve was outstanding claiming 5 wickets for just 5 runs in one of the best bowling performances seen in the JCA league. Challengers CC in their first game of the season had got off to a solid start thanks to Sunil Samtani and at 65 for 2 at the first drinks break, they would have felt confident to put up a good score.
Nimesh Shah claimed Sunil right after drinks, making it 3 wickets for him, all of them being bowled. And then, followed a Paddy-sparked collapse. Challengers lost their last 7 wickets for just 12 runs as Padmakar kept pinging the batsmen’s pads. Keyur Moradia & Nimesh Shah then made light work of the chase as they hit 97 to win in just 12 overs.
