Warriors CC won the toss and chose to bowl first and this meant that we got to see former Sri Lankan cricketer & current Indonesian national team high performance coach, Nuwan Shiroman in action immediately. His luck with bowling maidens over continued as his first over in JCA cricket was also a maiden! Jagdeep Singh at the other end however was struggling to get his lines right as wides flowed freely giving Menara Ceylon CC a decent start after 4 overs.

Waqar Ali struck with two wickets in his very first over and Pradeep Patnaik followed with a wicket in his second over as the Warriors kept chipping away with regular wickets. Extra ended up being the top score for Menara Ceylon CC as none of their batsmen could cross 20. Three of the Warriors bowlers picked up 2 wickets apiece while Pradeep Patnaik was the top wicket taker with 3 for 20.

Nitin Sharma started the chase of 102 with two boundaries in the first over itself and then he combined with Yash Rathore for a 81 run stand to take the Warriors home with 7 wickets and 5 overs in hand
