Overnight rain prompted the Yadavas WISCI Tigers captain to opt to bowl first. The Tigers opening bowlers, while not penetrative, did keep a check on the scoring rate as only 27 runs came in the first 6 overs. RB United’s leading scorer Gaurav Sharma & Sujeet Ramgir then got together for an ‘Accha’ 50 run stand. Ishaan Bhaskar provided some brief acceleration with a few sweetly timed hits, but at the end RB United could only manage 113 runs in their 20 overs despite 5 wickets still in hand. Anjar Tadarus claimed 2 wickets at the death and Gamantika had the most economical figures.
114 was never going to be a challenge against the much vaunted Tigers batting line up and the first over of the chase going for 22 runs made the defense even tougher for RB United. Muhaddis got to his 50 in just 20 balls and Gamantika stayed unbeaten on 46 to take Yadavas WISCI Tigers to a 7 wicket win with 10 overs to spare.
