The full force of the Indonesian national team was in display as three of its experienced players stepped up their game to give Yadavas WISCI Tigers a crushing win over Warriors CC in the R.P. Singh Memorial Cup.
Playing their first game of the season, Warriors CC chose to bowl first after winning the toss and were right away up against it as the Tigers openers Muhaddis & Anjar Tadarus got off to a brisk start notching up 53 runs in the power play. The two openers ran briskly between the wickets to counter a heavy outfield and this inter-mixed with a few 6s kept the run-rate going and the 100 run opening stand soon came up in just the 12th over.
Anjar fell soon after trying to accelerate and Ajay Kurtkoti fought back for the Warriors with a few tight overs but he didn’t get enough support from the other end and Ramdoni flourish towards the end helped Yadavas WISCI Tigers finish with a huge 176 for the loss of just 3 wickets.
The rustiness of playing their first game after more than a year showed in the Warriors CC batting as their batsmen just couldn’t force the pace against a good bowling performance by almost all the Tigers bowlers. Eventually, the Warriors could manage only 102 in their 20 overs, giving the Tigers a huge win and the top spot in the league table
