Mufasil Muhammed has been in a rich vein of form recently ever since he decided to curb his big hitting instincts in the initial part of his innings. This form served Ceylon CC very well as they comfortably beat Mavecrics CC in a T20 encounter at Cibubur this Sunday. After Soham Pansare had accounted for Gaurav & Dihan, Mufasil and Baba Sivasankaran went about re-constructing the innings. Ceylon ended up giving Mavecrics a target of 137 runs.
Milind Shirodkar & Karan Tiwari put up a 100 run opening stand, but they couldn’t accelerate at the right time which meant 38 runs were needed in the last 4 overs. But, Rajeev Kumar bowled brilliantly giving away just 7 runs in his 4 overs and support from Sanjeewa meant that Ceylon could restrict Mavecrics to just 122 in their 20 overs.
