Menara CC had a chance for revenge after they had lost last weekend to Rebels as they took them on in a 35 overs encounter at Cibubur. Muhammad Alfhariz struck early getting rid of the Menara openers, but Mohammad Mubeen, once again proved a thorn in Rebels flesh as he strung together good partnerships with Mehdi & Faheem. He learnt from the last game and took the battle deep as he remained unbeaten on a very mature knock of 62 runs. Gaurav Tandon was accurate, but unlucky and Rebels would rue giving away 50 runs in their last 5 overs.
Some very tight bowling by Zahid Hameed (3 for 6 runs in 7 overs) ensured that the Rebels were always way behind the asking rate and despite some good knocks by Geoff Perryman & skipper, Anwesh Bose, the Rebels finished 76 runs short.
