This weekend also saw a beautifully manicured GMIS cricket ground host its first 2 games of the season, both being T20 matches. BLPL Mavecrics elected to bat first and were off to a slow start as they reached 42 for 1 in the eight over. Keyur Moradia and Mitesh Dhingra then combined very well together for a 96 runs stand to take their team to a fighting total of 153 for 3 in their 20 overs.

The Rawamangun CC reply never got momentum as their batsman just couldn’t force the pace against some very tight bowling especially by Keyur Moradia & Padmakar Surve. Rohan Shirodkar played an anchoring knock of 50 but didn’t get much support from anyone else as Mitesh Dhingra picked up some wickets as well to round off a very good day.
