Rain threatened but kept away long enough to ensure completion of all the 4 games this weekend in the GMIS JCA league.

Current champions WISCI fought back a spirited reply by Jaguar CC to register a comfortable win in their rain-reduced game on Sunday. Heavy rains in the morning meant that their game had to be reduced to a 25 overs affair. Adam Jones & Hitesh Malhotra, who was playing in the JCA league after a gap of two years, put on a solid 84 runs opening partnership after WISCI had been asked to bat first.

Naresh Gupta & David Holme provided some good acceleration and were on course to set a big target, when Ansar Subramanian struck three crucial blows to contain the damage. Eventually, WISCI finished at 166 for 7 in their 25 overs and would have been happy with the total considering their strong bowling attack. Jagdeep Singh once again bowled very tightly for Jaguars.

A brilliant opening spell by David Holme meant that Jaguar CC were off to a slowish start, but Hanan Khalid started to get into his rhythm and went after Danielson Hawoe & Deepak Singh to keep Jaguars within reach of the asking rate. Slow scoring between the 10 to 15thover and possibly a tactical error in not elevating Saulat Abbas, meant that the asking rate had crept up to 9 runs an over. Danielson struck back with the crucial wicket of Saulat and 27 runs were needed of the last 2 overs which proved tough against some clever bowling by Suhail & Deepak.
