After a relatively slow start to the season, Kirubasankar is back with a vengeance notching up his 3rdton of the season with two of them being in T20 games. His ton led Metro Indians to an easy win. The other winners this weekend in the GMIS JCA league were Senayan CC & Emerio CC.

Metro Indians took on Texmoda TKCC Royals in a T20 game on Sunday and Kirubasankar started off the Metro innings in fine style. TKCC struck back with two quick wickets but that saw the entry of Prabhukaliraj to the crease. He took on the role of aggressor as Kiruba provided stability at the other end. A brilliant 152 run stand then ensued in just 13 overs with a total of 20 boundary hits as Metro Indians finished at a strong 188 for 3 in their 20 overs. Prabhukaliraj stayed unbeaten with a pacy 70 of just 39 deliveries and Kirubasankar fell in the last over after completing his 3rdton of the season.

TKCC were set-back early in the daunting chase with skipper Gorav Pathak falling to Kiran Mandhare in the first over itself. Thereafter, TKCC just couldn’t string together any partnerships of note as they kept losing wickets at regular intervals and in the end could only manage 100 for 8 in their 20 overs. Sakthi Narayanan & Aditya Khurana claimed two wickets apiece in an all-around, strong bowling performance by Metro Indians.
