The season’s first hundred was the highlight of this weekend’s action at the Advanced Offshore JCA League as Kirubasankar got his and his team’s season off to a great start.

Jakarta Barbarians won the toss and chose to bat first against Metro Indians in their 40 overs game on Sunday. Aditya Khurana & Kiran Mandhare bowled really well to have Jakarta Barbarians in a lot of strife at 26 for 3. But, Jakarta Barbarians’ latest recruit, Agi Saptiazi, batted very sensibly to put on a 97 runs stand with Mohib Hussaini. Vivek Singh, then provided some late acceleration and Metro Indians also contributed to the Jakarta Barbarians final total of 182 in the form of extras.

The Metro Indians reply followed a similar start sequence with Vivek Nair knocking of the top order early and Metro were also at 26 for 3. This early signs of hope for Jakarta Barbarians were however short-lived with Kirubasankar initially showing restraint in building a solid partnership with Ahmad Nur Arif, but later exploded to hit an unbeaten 117 of just 64 balls to rocket his team past the target with 15 overs and 7 wickets in hand.
