In a Division 2 game at Cibubur on Sunday, a splendid bowling performance by Keyur Moradia that saw him take the first hat-trick of this season, helped the Mavecrics defeat Chairos Tigers by 4 wickets. Fielding first, the Mavecrics never allowed the Tigers’ batsmen to get away as they kept things on a tight leash, limiting them to 42/3 at the first drinks break and 79/4 at the 24 over mark. Lead by Keyur’s stupendous effort with the ball, that saw him return with figures of 7/13, the Tigers could just manage 137/9 in its full quota of 35 overs.

The Tigers who were always known for their never-say-die attitude, pulled one back in the very second ball of their bowling effort when they effected a run-out and then further set the cat amongst the pigeons when they had the Mavecrics reeling at 41/4 after 12 overs. However a fine 70 run partnership between the in-form Miraz Monga (54 runs) and Pradeep Patnaik (28 runs) ensured there were no further jitters before Keyur, riding high from his second hat-trick effort with the ball, thudded the ball deep into the boundary to hit the winning runs, and with it a deserving man-of-the-match award.
