Warriors CC won the toss and chose to bat first against RB United in their T20 game played on 9th January at the Cibubur Cricket ground as part of the R.P. Singh Memorial cup. Yashpal Rathore and Raunak Kapoor re-built solidly with a 100 run stand after they had lost their opener early. But, RB United would have been pleased at that stage as they had kept the run-rate in check with Warriors CC at 109 for 2 after 15 overs. The entry of Karanjit Singh changed the game on it head as he went ballistic to score 55 of just 17 balls and the Warriors added 68 runs in the last 5 overs including 30 runs of the 19th over. This late charge helped the Warriors finish at a very strong 177 for 4 in their 20 overs. Azhar Ali was the best of the RB United with just 1 for 14 off his 4 overs.
RB United kept themselves in the chase as Anwesh Bose & Azhar Ali put on a 87 run stand and after 15 overs were at 110 for 1 (1 run ahead of where Warriors were at the same stage). But with 68 runs needed in 5 overs they needed their own Karan, which was to not be and eventually RB United could only manage 144 in their 20 overs. Waqar Ali was the pick of the Warriors bowlers claiming 4 for 34 in his 4 overs
