Ceylon CC, who have been enjoying a great season, reclaimed Division 2 leadership with a comfortable win over Indorama CC in their T20 game. Ceylon were off to a solid start thanks to Mufasil, but the entry of Nikhil Kumar triggered a batting collapse. He took 4 wickets for just 14 runs to reduce Ceylon to 82 for 5, but a wonderful knock by Justin Mathew Biji ensured that Ceylon ended with a comfortable score of 144 in their 20 overs.
It was Shuhab Hussain’s time to shine with the ball as his opening spell ripped out the heart of the Indorama batting and they were soon tottering at 30 for 5. Noushad took a couple of more wickets and Indorama were out of the chase as 66 for 8. Vinod Nalluru hit a few big hits towards the end, but Indorama ended short by 37 runs.
