Jaguar CC caused the biggest upset of this season thus far by handing current champions WISCI their first defeat. WISCI were off to a slow start managing only 20 in their 4 overs as Jagdeep Singh bowled tight lines. A big knock from Naresh Gupta was needed, but Abhay Sharma got rid of him early and then accounted for Suhail Modak as well.
Vinayak Sasitharan for run out, but WISCI has always been known to pull itself back from tough situations. A superb 2 wicket over from Jagdeep Singh put paid to any hopes of that revival and WISCI were eventually bowled out for 95 runs.
Jaguar CC were off to a poor start chasing the low score and were struggling at 25 for 3 after 10 overs and WISCI were once again fighting back. The entry of Saulat Abbas changed the course of the game as he counter-attacked with an unbeaten 55 to take his side home to a famous win.
