Earlier on Saturday, Jakarta Barbarians faced off against Texmoda TKCC Royals in a 35 overs game. Ben Burgess controlled the innings beautifully despite the early loss of the prolific Eki Antaria. He found an able partner in Sam Haddad as they put on 72 runs for the 4thwicket. Vivek Nair then upped the ante with some big sixes and despite a late fightback by the TKCC bowlers, Barbarians finished on a strong 198 in their 35 overs. Mukesh Khetan & Gorav Pathak were the best of the TKCC bowlers taking 3 wickets apiece.
Hukumran was destructive in his spell as his 4 wickets haul had TKCC struggling at 38 for 4. Gorav Pathak was the lone battler for TKCC as his attacking 37 runs got some hope for his side. However, he fell to Mohib and the brilliant Vivek Nair (2 for 5 in 4 overs) knocked over the late order to give the Barbarians a big 67 runs win.
