Emerio CC scraped home by 1 wicket in a low scoring thriller against Challengers CC on Sunday. The Challengers batting just couldn’t get going as Ahmad Abbas Khan & Gorla Satyanarayana kept chipping away with wickets at regular intervals. Only Vimal Nair & Satheesh Kumar could reach double figures as Challengers folded for just 80 runs.
The Sunil Samtani-Satheesh Kumar duo accounted for the Emerio openers cheaply but Harshal Kulkarni batted sensibly with support from Raunak Kapoor and Emerio looked to be cruising to an easy win at 50 for 3. The Sunil-Satheesh combo were not done yet as they returned with a superb spell as 5 wickets fell for just 14 runs. Challengers were right back in it but Rachin Kumar & Gorla Satyanarayana showed a lot of character to guide their team home with 1 wicket in hand.
