Yadavas WISCI Tigers started off 2022 in a bright manner by comfortably defeating Menara Ceylon CC in the first game of the year played at Cibubur Cricket ground as part of the R.P. Singh Memorial cup. Menara Ceylon CC won the toss, chose to bowl and Roney struck early with the wicket of Rico. But then, the big guns Muhaddis & Anjar Tadarus got together for a 115 run stand before Muhaddis fell for 63 of just 37 balls. The Menara Ceylon bowlers led by Hashmat then fought back well conceding just 52 runs in the last 7 overs, restricting the Tigers to 175 for 4 in 20 overs
The target was clearly above par and would have needed a great start for Menara Ceylon CC to chase it down. That was not to be as the Tigers bowlers despite conceding 18 extras had reduced MCC to 39 for 5 after the 8th over. Hashmatullah & Asad Ali struck a few big hits but they had too much to do and MCC were eventually bowled out for 150. The Tigers used 10 bowlers (wonder why the keeper wasn’t allowed to bowl !) and Nando Junior took 3 wickets while Nando Senior ended up with 2 wickets
