Yadavas Chairos Tigers inched one step closer to becoming the first fully Indonesian team to win the JCA league. A brilliant 6 wicket haul for just 16 runs by their left-arm seamer Gede Darma Arta gave them a huge win over WPP India XI on 5thMay to consolidate their lead.
Anjar Tadarus had once again got the Tigers off to a decent start after they elected to bat first and he got good support from Gema Fajar & Muhaddis. The Tigers were in the midst of setting up a solid platform when Govind Sodani took 4 quick wickets to punch holes in the platform. Rohit Khatana & Santosh Kumar also chipped in with crucial wickets to bowl out the Tigers for a below-par score of 138 in the 29thover.
WPP India XI would have fancied their chances of chasing down the low score, but a brilliant spell by Gede Darma Arta had their fight ripped out pretty early in the chase. Only Gaurang Kapadia managed to reach double figures and WPP India XI were eventually bowled out for just 62 runs.
