Ceria Komodos took on Daehan Super Kings (DSK) in the first of their double-header and they had to contend with a slow but steady 2ndwicket partnership between Kirubasankar & Vimal Nair as they took DSK to a solid platform of 63 runs after 10 overs. The introduction of the nippy Rojher Maxi Koda changed the complexion of the game as wickets fell at regular intervals and soon, DSK were struggling at 92 for 7. Some big blows by Santhosh Kumar got his team some valuable runs in the last 2 overs as he took DSK to a total of 117 in their 20 overs.

A chase of 118 should have been a cake-walk for the Komodos, but the openers just couldn’t get going as the Komodos crawled to 17 for 1 at the end of the 7thover. Acceleration was needed, but in the process, Komodos kept losing wickets and couldn’t stitch together any partnership of note as they folded for just 91 runs to give DSK a fabulous, fighting win.
