Challengers Metro CC (CMC) chose to bowl first in wet conditions after rain had shortened the match to 18 overs a side game. The CMC bowlers were all on song and the opening bowlers Satheesh & Karthigaideepan had reduced Warriors CC to 9 for 3 after 4 overs. Hari made it 13 for 4 in the 5th over and Warriors CC were staring down the barrel. Karan & Gorla Satyanarayana staged a slight recovery but they too perished , both of them to Yuvaraj Bhaskar.
Manickavasagan then wrapped up the innings with figures of 3 for 5 in 3 overs as the Warriors CC were bowled out for just 53 runs. The CMC openers then wrapped up the chase in the 7th over without losing any wickets and ensuring that for a change, Kirubasankar doesn’t get to bat (or take a wicket)!!!
