In a Division 1 game between KLN WISCI and hosts GMIS CC played at the GMIS Grounds, WISCI returned winners by 4 wickets. Being asked to bat first on a ground known to be full of runs, GMIS had a cautious start reaching 55/3 at the first drinks break. With hard hitting batsman and skipper, Naresh Gupta at the crease, GMIS as expected motored along to plunder 109 runs in the next 12 overs to reach 164/6 at the 24 over stage. Naresh scored his third half century of this season with 68 runs that was laced with 7 sixes. Jalaj Chaturvedi then carried on the momentum scoring 61 runs, but with little support from the other end, GMIS was bowled out for 229 runs in the 34th over. Deepak Singh took 3/36 while Tim Watson and William Noronha took 2 wickets each.

Chasing 230 runs to secure their fourth consecutive win, the defending champions started cautiously but regular loss of wickets had them reeling at 85/4 at one stage. A Fine century partnership then between Dave Holme (75*) and skipper William Noronha (45 runs) ensured there were no further jitters and helped WISCI overhaul the target in the 33rd over, losing only 6 wickets. All-rounder Aman Singh chipped in with 35 runs. For GMIS, Pratyush Chaturvedi took 2/28, while Jalaj, Karan Tiwari and Manish took one wicket each.
