While Yadavas Chairos Tigers have an unassailable lead atop Division 1, the battle for runners-up position is still on and very intense with 3 teams in contention. Two of these contenders, WISCI Wanderers & Jakarta Barbarians faced off in a crucial T20 clash on Sunday. Naresh Gupta started the innings off for WISCI in a hurry and was particularly severe on Vivek Nair, who however had the last laugh when he trapped Naresh in front for 26. Vivek Nair then combined with his namesake Vivek Singh to have WISCI struggling at 77 for 6. An excellent rearguard knock by Suhail Modak ensured that WISCI reached 141 in their 20 overs.
Ben Burgess owned the Barbarians reply with a superb unbeaten knock of 88 off just 56 balls to take his side home with plenty of overs & wickets to spare.
