Yadavas Chairos Tigers, the fully Indonesian team that was only just promoted to Division 1 this season, have chalked up a big lead at the top of Division 1 in the GMIS JCA league courtesy their big win over defending champions, WISCI Wanderers this Sunday.

The Tigers chose to bat first after winning the toss and despite early loss of one of their openers, Anjar Tadarus & Muhaddis batted well mixing aggression & caution to put on a 97 runs stand. The introduction of Suhail Modak put paid to Tigers hopes of accelerating from a solid platform. Suhail bowled great lines and mixed his pace brilliantly to put a lid on the scoring. Wickets fell trying to force the pace and eventually the Tigers could only manage 158 in their 20 overs, much lower than what was threatening to be a score of 185 plus.

Naresh Gupta started off ominously hitting three big sixes, but he fell to a brilliant running catch by Anjar Tadarus. Fernando Banunaek bowled very good lines as well to account for the WISCI top order and despite Vinayak Sasitharan’s resistance, WISCI folded up for just 75 runs.
