Crickingdom Lions took on Jaguar Punjab XI in the quarterfinals and the Lions lost Gufran Khan fairly early. The Jaguars had an off day in the field which helped the Lions recover and accelerate. Parag Haldankar set the tone and Viraj Bhammar continued the acceleration. Shubham Patni’s double-strike helped the Jaguars have a mini-recovery but the hard-hitting Sampath Kumar blasted an unbeaten 54 of just 19 balls to take his team to a mammoth score of 223 for 6.
Hanan Khalid threatened with a speedy 32 but Raj Kapadia fought back with a superb 5 wicket haul and then Andriaini created her own history by becoming the first woman cricketer to take a 4 wicket haul in a JCA tournament as the Jaguars folded for 110.
