Meanwhile in a Group A game on Saturday at Cibubur, Ceylon Cavaliers beat Senayan CC by 26 runs in a closely fought game. Winning the toss and batting first, Ceylon got off to a good start with Avakash Lohia (21) and Mufasil (28). Then, as Gaurav Kapoor and Baba Sivasankaran plundered 26 runs off one over, Ceylon was sitting pretty at 96/3 off 11 overs. The introduction of youngsters Anjar Tadarus (3/10) and Angga Lucky (3/16) into the bowling attack saw things turn on its head, as the Ceylon middle and lower order collapsed in a heap to be all-out for 130 runs in 18.4 overs. In trying to defend a low score, the Ceylon pace bowlers kept the ball in the right areas, as the pressure on Senayan batsmen started to mount. Attempting to negotiate the pressure, the Senayan batsmen started losing wickets in regular intervals. With the exception of Amar Kapadia (41) none of the other batsmen could offer any resistance as Senayan eventually folded up in the 18th over for 104. Satinder Singh (3/12) and Das (2/14) were the pick of the bowlers and were well supported by pacers Rajeev Kumar and Mufasil. Ceylon, who was sharp on the field pouching 6 catches, must have been ruing the missed catches in their previous game which led to their downfall against Emerio.
