With just about a month left, the top spots across both divisions are still wide open which makes every match crucial for the teams in contention. This weekend saw the two leaders WISCI & Jaguar CC hang on after hard-fought wins.

With Senayan CC closing in on them, every game was crucial to Division 1 leaders WISCI, and it was with that seriousness that their openers Aman Singh & Adam Jones began, putting up a solid 62 runs opening stand. This solid start was then rudely jolted as Vimal Mohan & Durai Mallikarjun triggered a mini collapse to have WISCI at 122 for 6 with 8 overs left. Suhail & Govind staged a mini-recovery to take WISCI to a good score of 175.

Ranjan Shankar steadied the Challengers ship after Govind had taken out their openers early but the WISCI skipper William Noronha’s struck thrice to snuff out any chance of a Challengers upset and give his side a 49 runs win.
