Challengers CC, chasing their first win off the season, took on their Tamil Nadu cousins, Metro Indians in a T20 clash at Cibubur. Metro Indians, who were without their star player Kiruba, seemed to be in a suicidal running form as six of their batsmen were out not being able to make it back to the crease in time. Add to that some good tight bowling by Challengers, especially Manickavasagan & Jagan Krishnan, ensured that Metro could only manage 81 runs in their 20 overs.
In reply, Aditya Khurana took 3 quick wickets to have Challengers in a bit of bother, but sensible batting by Vimal Nair & Santosh Kumar ensured, the Challengers got to the total with 4 wickets in hand.
