Jakarta Barbarians took on Senayan CC in a marquee clash on Sunday and Viraj Bhammar got things off to a brisk start for Senayan. Desandri Candil Saputra bowled well to bottle up one end but the bowlers at the other end leaked runs and when Viraj fell, Senayan were well placed at 88 in 11 overs. Senayan’s only centurion of the season, Amrithanand fell to a first ball duck to Vivek Nair which meant Shubho had to consolidate. Rakesh Gowda hit a few big hits to take Senayan to 146 runs in their 20 overs.

Ben Burgess started well for Jakarta Barbarians but kept losing partners at the other end. Ashit Mehta got rid of the dangerous Ben and some tight bowling followed to keep things in control for Senayan. Despite Mohib’s knock, a lot was needed in the last 5 overs and in the end Senayan CC prevailed by 10 runs. Shaijal & Raj Kapadia were the standout bowlers for Senayan.
